In-Game Time System

Seven years prior to the game, the first war in Utopian history occurred. The attack took place at 12:oo on July 28.

The measure of years are Before First War (BFW) and After First War (AFW). So the exact timing of the first attack was July 28, 0 BFW at 12:00:01.

The game starts July 7, 7 AFW at 7:07:07. How's that for suspicious?

By the way, The First War will be a series that starts from 2 days before the first war and ends at the beginning of the game. This will come out soon and will be updated regularly.

What we have decided...

Well what we've decided for our game and what would bring out the best of the story would be to make it an open-play sandbox-type game in which you could choose to be good or bad. For most missions you need to complete required "sub-missions" or (as they're called in the game) "indirect approaches". Obviously, you wouldn't go into the front door of an enemy's mansion when you need to get recon... (well unless you are able to control the army your enemy will unleash on you, then... no).
Some ideas we are still thinking about are the weapons in the beginning of the demo and the game which are probably going to be a recoilless gun and an assault rifle with a scope. Probably everything will be interactive so you will need a lot of processing power and a good graphics card. But this is all testing stuff (its state of being in the game is unknown, check back later for updates)

Oh, and one last thing... This game will almost surely be commercially available for Linux! (Yeah I like it too)

Oh, wow, I just realized that I hadn't updated the blog for quite the time... Well, sorry about that :) About a month ago, we finished the main Demo storyline. We're still tweaking it to our liking but we had enough to start the 2D (concept) art. Why do I say 'had'? Well we started the art about 2-3 days we finished the story so we could make the first bunny! Mainly these enemies are just clones of each other but each with its own personal attitude (and slight change of appearance).

For all of the experts or basic-knowledge peoples in 3D out there:
The bunny's head is done but the shaders, UV textures, and scripts (for the slight different appearance) are still to be finished. I will be posting it soon.

It's getting late and my laptop is running out of batteries so, see ya! (Be sure to check out the poll!)

Prolouge Summary

For those who don't want to read the whole prolouge, here is a short version:

Malcolm Leferce was a gangish teen otter. In boot camp for tagging a Galindo mine, where animals in Utopia, the great city, mine ozone mixed atomicly with ash, which is a great energy source.

Kyle Limino was a recently elected mayor of one of Utopia's seven provinces. His sinister plot was to blow up gallindo in the air and in the mines via an explosive tower.

The president of Utopia was mad at Malcolm Leferce. He and his friends had tagged a Galliando mine, but they all got away from cops except Leferce. Leferce was power washed and then admitted in boot camp.

Limino blew up his tower, taking away half the Utopian main city. Malcolm was there, having escaped from boot camp to tell his friends not to tag the mines again. The blast changed his genes, as well as killed all the major government officials, making the evil Kyle rise up to power as president of Utopia. He would soon announce being potentate. Upon that announcement, he was banished to the Outer Realm, to freeze to death. He was to be banished by, you guessed it, Malcolm Leferce, who gave the feds a tip leading to Kyle's arrest.

Kyle was banished to the freezing cold. He collapsed. Looking up, he saw a rabbit clad in armor...

Kyle Limino announced to the Utopian Senate that he would eliminate government control over Utopia. Starting in a few days, he will be Potentate and nothing will stand in his way.

Malcolm watched the new Supreme Potentate Limino make his announcement. He was expecting a call from the police. When it finally came, it was not what he expected.

“Come to the hover-car outside. We’re going to banish him and we want you to watch”

Malcolm got in and his driver took him to the edge. The Edge was the border of the shield.

Kyle was told to go to the Edge to witness a banishing. Little did he know that HE was the one being banished.

Malcolm had a very unwanted job. He was the one to push Kyle out of the shield.

As Kyle arrived at the Edge, police dogs surrounded the hover car. Kyle was quickly handcuffed and was taken to the door of the shield. There he saw an otter, who looked very nervous. Kyle memorized his face.

Malcolm was taken to meet face to face with Kyle Limino. He said to him, “I am Malcolm Leferce! You killed my friends, you are a murderous creature, and this must be done” Malcolm pushed Kyle as hard as he could out the shield. The guards closed the shield, and Malcolm felt bad about ending a life.

Kyle, handcuffed and freezing, collapsed. It had been so perfect, but it was all lost. He heard footsteps approaching. He looked up and saw a rabbit clad in battle armor…

Kyle Limino woke up today with a goal. As newly elected Mayor of Antarticka, he was not well known. Soon that was going to change. Soon...Malcolm Leferce wasn't happy waking up at 5 pm North Am-Rika Standard time, but that was his punishment for grafting the Galliando mine, again. Boot Camp. He had no idea that that gangish act with his friends would change his life forever...Limino, with his new found wealth and power, commissioned a new energy project: a tower that will harness the power of the Galliando still in the air from the Great Collision. Galliando Can Stick To People...Malcolm, still in boot camp got a holo-call from his friends, saying that they would graffiti the mines again. Malcolm had a bad feeling about it, but said nothing.President Morose loved mining and was disgraced when a Leferce kid and his gang sprayed graffiti on the mines. Unfortunately He could only catch Leferce.
Limino's tower, near completion, if activated in it's current state, could ignite the galliando in the air and cause the death of all who work near galliando.
Limino decided that that is what should happen. he came into the half completed tower's control room and approached the main controls...
Malcolm finally decided to warn his friends about the bad feeling, so he escaped boot camp and took a Hover-cab to North Am-Rika.

“In a hospital in South Am-Rica. We are going to ask you what you remember, OK?”
“Well, I was going to say something to my friends when I heard a large blast and saw a blinding flash. When I finally saw again, I looked for my friends, but before I could find them, I saw another blast. This time it pushed me back and I hit the ground. I opened my eyes and saw one of my friends on flames, then... it all went blank.”“I see. Well I can tell you what the blasts were: the first one was Limino tower igniting the Galliando in the air. The second one was the mines exploding... The blast altered your genes.”

Malcolm realized why he did not see his friends during the blast. They were dead. Normally he would grieve, but he caught a news coverage about a Kyle Limino who rose to power after the bang. Every one seemed to believe that he was not responsible. Except Malcolm. How couldn’t he be responsible? It was his tower that exploded. Malcolm called the police from the hospital. They said if the president does anything suspicious, they would ban him to the Outer Realm- The place beyond the shield of Utopia. The icy cold.

Limino was preparing a speech.He would blame it all on a saboteur. He would trick them all. Soon he would be Potentate of Utopia.

A Lucindian power sword is an extremely powerful purple blade. It starts out as a handle and, when activated, starts to build up atoms to form the blade. A Lucindian power blade does not cut, it converts the atoms of enemies into crystalline structure that can shatter easily.

A Lucindo is a member of the Lucindian Tribe. This tribe's species is unknown, but many believe they are the remaining humans. The strange tribe lives in the outer areas beyond the sheild. Any one who has seen one has never seen their faces.

the prologue is almost over. all that's left is a four part conclusion. Oh no! but wait. Starting at the end of conclusion part 4, I will be giving a 7 part story called "A Hare's Breath" and then a breakout in which I combine the prologue and A Hares Breath in one timeline, and go over each combined section with more thought.
